Acoustic version of a formerly lost song called Making Dedication by First Person, a short-lived Portland rock group from 1989-1990.

Recorded off the radio in 1990 by a fan, Making Dedication, or Personal as it became known, was uploaded to the Internet in hopes of finding the artist and song title. For several years, the song artist and title remained unknown, until it was found by chance by the bass player in the band! Quite a story!

A few weeks before the discovery of the song's real artist and title, I began working on a piano/vocal cover. I recorded the piano and vocal, and shared it with the community and, once we found the song, the original artist too.

It's quite an honor to have the original artist share your song with their community, and that's exactly what they did. The bass player for First Person shared this on their YouTube page.

And now I'm sharing it with you all!

This is one of my favorite cover songs I've ever recorded. So enjoy!!
